A stage of Giro d'Italia in S. Vigilio di Marebbe

In 2010 the Giro d'Italia returns with 2 stages to the region Plan de Corones.
The 16th stage of the race will lead on Tuesday 25.05.2010, starting in S. Vigilio di Marebbe, up to the hight of 2275m on the Mount Kronplatz and the following day you can enjoy the start of the 17th stage in Brunico, that then will lead the cyclists to Peio Terme, distant 173km.
During the 16th stage the athletes will have to face up with 12,9km that will lead them from S. Vigilio di Marebbe among the Pass Furcia up to the top of the mountain Plan de Corones. The athletes will have to deal with slopes of up to 24%.
