The Unterwegerhof is located at 1,350 meters above see level, in a sunny position with beautiful views of the Dolomites. Follow the mountain road about 3 km from the Strada del Sole in the Pustertal, right after the village of Corti. The villages Corti, Kiens, Issing, Falzes, Brunico are located only from 3 to 13 km from here. The ski area Plan de Corones-Kronplatz is located about 17 km from the house. From your terrace you will enjoy sweeping views over the top of the Plan de Corones and its slopes. Many paths lead from the Unterwegerhof up to the mountain huts where you can relax and pamper yourself with local delicacies. A road leads you to the Alta Via di Fundres, then north to the Refuge Lake Break and then up to the peak of Terento / Eidechsspitze, the highest peak in the eastern Mountains of Fundres. Also have a look at the glacier on the north side of the Alps, which fills the hearts of climbers.
The ski resort Plan de Corones disposes of the most modern and comfortable ski lifts. The slopes satisfy even the most demanding tastes. Plan de Corones is one of the largest ski centers in South Tyrol. For families there are vast and easy slopes. The new gondola lift "Piculin" and a ski bus service connect the ski area Alta Badia and the valleys around the Sella Group with the Kronplatz. And those who want to practice the cross-country skiing can follow the path in the Valleys of Anterselva and Casies, where the World Cup races took place.
The Issing Lake is a natural lake. In summer it offers a pleasant and refreshing bath and a day in the sun at the wood’s edge. An advice for the summer: a swim in the lake and a visit at the herb garden Bergila, that is situated directly on the lake!
